Academy Awards that have been: Robbed, Snubbed and Given Appoligy Oscars to those that deserve them a certain year.

So, here's a little rant I've thought about for a while and it's kinda long, so I apologize ahead of time for that, but here's what I think about the Academy Awards and Christopher Nolan as well as other's who've been or are in the same boat as him.
Basically,I hope Christopher Nolan get's an Oscar for Interstellar. A nomination at the very least. He's been snubbed and robbed a lot. Makes me wonder why the Academy hates him enough to not acknowledge him for his greatness. He's been nominated for Best Screenplay for Memento and Inception and Best Picture for Inception, but hasn't won. It's also surprising that despite how many great movies he's made, he's never been nominated for an Academy Award for Best Director.
He was robbed of that nomination at least three times with, The Dark Knight, Inception and The Dark Knight Rises, and he could've won at least one of those times but no.
He seems to be in the boat with DiCaprio, someone great in their field of work, but not given the award when he should, like with Gilbert Grape for DiCaprio and I also feel DiCaprio should've been nominated and won for Django Unchained as well. I just wonder what DiCaprio and Nolan did, among others, to get the Academy upset with them enough, that they don't get the awards they deserve.
Sometimes it takes a long time for people to get an Academy Award or even a nomination, like Christian Bale should've had at least one Oscar before The Fighter and Gary Oldman should've been nominated and won a bunch before his only nomination for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, a film that defiantly should've got him an Oscar, as that's the best performance I've seen in years.
Peter O'Toole, a great actor was nominated 8 times and never won once. He got an Honorary Oscar, but for an actor of his stature it was kind of a Slap in the face to him, as that Academy Award was just for his almost 50 year career back in 2003. He should've gotten one for Lawrence of Arabia, but lost due to political reasons.
Also great actors one would think would have an Oscar or a nomination at the very least, some don't have one at all, like Ewan McGregor. Trainspotting, Moulin Rouge!, Black Hawk Down, even the Star Wars films he was in, his performances are great, and he could've been nominated and won at least once for any of those films.
But Nolan is in the same realm of directors without Oscars, such as Alfred Hitchcock, George Lucas, Ridley Scott, Robert Altman, Paul Thomas Anderson, David Fincher, David Cronenberg, and a lot other directors I didn't mention. I would've mentioned Stanley Kubrick, but he has an Oscar for the Visual Effects for 2001, but he too should have a couple other Oscars for his films. The Academy has given Oscars to people as an apology for not giving the award to them before, and what they won for might not even be close to the best work of their career, but it's a make up Oscar.
For instance, James Stewart got an Oscar for The Philadelphia Story, back in 1941, and he thought it was for compensation that he didn't win the previous year for Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, which I happen to agree with. He didn't even vote for himself, he voted for Henry Fonda for Grapes of Wrath.
Where's O'Toole's make up Oscar? Or DiCaprio's? Or any of the people I've mentioned or didn't mention? With the Oscars getting close, I just wanted to get this off my chest as I've thought about this for a while, and my faith in the Academy has been going down hill for a long time. If Nolan doesn't get nominated for Best Director for Interstellar, I'll be very disappointed in the Academy again.
